A NOTE ON CLOTHING:
We will be in India in the winter months. Pack a few warm clothes as temperatures in the evening can dip down to 40 degrees. Though this might sound warm to us for January, central heating is rare in Delhi. The locals, men and women, wear shawls during the winter. Shawls works great for staying warm and easily fold up when not needed.

We suggest packing more pants and socks then usual. A change of clothes will not stay clean for more than a day or so. In addition, clothes are hand washed and air dried, so when your clothes are being washed you do not get them back for a day or two.

For women, it is recommended that you keep bare skin to a minimum so as not to attract unwanted attention. Skirts are only seen in bars and clubs. Long pants and Indian style/Kurti tops work very well.

ART SUPPLIES:
All students should bring a small quantity of the supplies they like to use. You will need to be ready to work on day one. The supplies that you favor may not be readily available and there is not time in the schedule for you to track art supplies down. There are a few sources for art supplies in New Delhi, but clean, flat paper can be difficult to find.
