New Delhi is India's capital city as well as a leading hub for art and culture. The city has been the seat of power in Northern India numerous times, creating a long and diverse history. The current city is built on top of seven ancient cities and south of the Old City, which was constructed by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. Shah Jahan is also responsible for the construction of the beautiful Taj Mahal in Agra. (scroll down for images)
