Personally, I like my ravioli stuffed with artichoke
and tofu ricotta, swimming in a rich marinara sauce.
But, I find the Chicago Ravioli a delicious dish. My
palette must be reaching for new flavors... |

Hello, Ravioli Project.
Yes, I pay attention to my surroundings. Two years ago I sold my car
and now I walk everywhere, which is the best way to keep up on things.
It's a kind of surveillance as well as mode of transport and exercise.
I picked up the ravioli someone placed in the
traffic circle at Balmoral and Glenwood in Andersonville on Saturday
the 17th. It was afternoon and I was walking home from my church after
practicing the organ for a couple of hours. The bright pink caught
my eye as I crossed the street so I went to investigate. I stood for
a few minutes on the traffic circle debating whether to pick it up,
and then figured that whatever it was, it was meant for me. Then I
took it home and opened it up at the kitchen table. That night I went
to hear the Brahms German Requiem at Northwestern Univ and I brought
the ravioli along to show my friends. We went through everything again
in the lobby of Pick-Staiger Hall. What a curious and wonderful assemblage!
A couple days later I saw another pieces of another ravioli strewn
across the front lawn of an apartment building on Balmoral. I felt
shocked because I knew the value of the items, and I wanted to rescue
them. But I didn't. I suppose neglect and indifference (on the part
of the person who tossed everything) are also valid responses in this
project. Congratulations, best wishes and I hope to make the party
on the 30th.

hey raviolis...
i just thought i would share my ravioli encounters...
first, i was pleasantly surprised by a package on my front door when
i
got home from work last night. thank you!
second, i went running this morning and saw two raviolis around wicker
park...one on division and another on the fence around the park. how
fun and surprising to encounter them while huffing & puffing for
2
miles around my neighborhood!
good job!
