MISSION
STATEMENT
We
are a collective of artists and activists - including many Jews and
Palestinians- working for a peaceful solution to the Israeli-Palestinian
conflict. We seek a just and lasting peace within the minimal,
general framework of the implementation of the Palestinian
people's right to self determination, an end to the Israeli
occupation of the West Bank and Gaza Strip, a just solution
to the status of Jerusalem, and a just solution to the Palestinian
refugee crisis. We strongly condemn the escalating violence
against civilians on both sides of the conflict and demand
that the United States end its economic, military, and political
support of Israel until the illegal occupation ends. We are
dedicated to fostering dialogue between communities and combating
anti-Arab, anti-Muslim, anti-Palestinian, and anti-Jewish
rhetoric and violence.
We are working to document and present the growing opposition
by North Americans - including a large number of North American
Jews - to the illegal occupation of the West Bank, Gaza Strip,
and East Jerusalem, to US economic, military, and political
support of this occupation, and to the denial of the Palestinians'
right to self determination. We also seek to air the voices
of many who call for a just solution to the Palestinian refugee
crisis. Based in Chicago, our goal is to speak out through
various artistic practices and engage in critical and constructive
dialogue on a local, national, and international scale regarding
the Israeli-Palestinian crisis.
We support the many networks of people who want an end to
the Israeli occupation, who seek peaceful and just solutions
to the Palestinian refugee crisis and the status of Jerusalem,
and who support the Palestinian people's right to self determination.
Our intention is to form relationships and collaborate with
these individuals and organizations by sharing our time and
resources and helping to promote vital dialogue on these issues.
