From gourmet meals and fine dining to casual lunches and quick pick-me-ups, the Art Institute has a variety of dining options.

Members receive a 10% discount in all of the museum's restaurants.

Headed by award-winning chef Tony Mantuano, Terzo Piano features authentic Italian ingredients and local, organic, and sustainable foods in simple but elegant dishes. Although not required, reservations are strongly recommended: (312) 443-8650 or tock.com. Terzo Piano also takes reservations for groups of 15–30 during regular dining hours. For a more private group experience, Terzo Piano has a semi-private event space available for groups of 25–100. This vibrant family-friendly dining space offers a host of healthy and delicious options. The globally influenced menu includes tacos, stir fries, sandwiches, salads, soups, charcuterie, desserts, smoothies, espresso, and more. Plus a kids menu created for our youngest visitors features all the classic kid favorites—from peanut butter and jelly to macaroni and cheese to chicken tenders!

Group dining vouchers are available for purchase. Please call the café manager at (312) 443-3747 to order your vouchers. School groups can register for lunch from the Student Café.

Taste the flavors of the season with specialty items at each station made with 100% local ingredients from our favorite area farms.

Thanks to the delicious creations of the chefs at Terzo Piano, Caffè Moderno offers scrumptious soups, snacks, and dessert in a convenient quick-order setting overlooking Griffin Court. Coffee, tea, wine, and other beverages are also available.

Enjoy summer's warm weather and lengthening days by dining alfresco as the Museum Café extends seating into lovely McKinlock Court. The Museum Café offers a locally sourced menu with a global influence along with a selection of wines, microbrews, and full bar.

Thursday Night Jazz

Thursday evenings in June and July, 5:00–8:00
