From gourmet meals and fine dining to casual lunches and quick pick-me-ups, the Art Institute has a variety of dining options.

Members receive a 10% discount in all of the museum's restaurants.

Headed by award-winning chef Tony Mantuano, Terzo Piano features authentic Italian ingredients and local, organic, and sustainable foods in simple but elegant dishes. Although not required, reservations are strongly recommended: (312) 443-8650 or www.opentable.com. Terzo Piano also takes reservations for groups of 15–30 during regular dining hours. For a more private group experience, Terzo Piano has a semi-private event space available for groups of 25–100. The Museum Café is currently undergoing a major renovation and is scheduled to reopen in mid-July 2013. During this time, the café is temporarily located in the MIllennium Park Room on the second level and offers a variety of sandwiches, salads, soups, desserts, and beverages.

Self-service dining: 11:00–3:00

Group dining vouchers are available for purchase. Please call the café manager at (312) 443-3747 to order your vouchers. School groups can register for lunch from the Kids' Café.

Thanks to the delicious creations of the chefs at Terzo Piano, Caffè Moderno offers scrumptious soups, snacks, and dessert in a convenient quick-order setting overlooking Griffin Court. Coffee, tea, wine, and other beverages are also available.

Thursdays until 7:00
