From gourmet meals and fine dining to casual lunches and quick pick-me-ups, the Art Institute has a variety of dining options.

Members receive a 10% discount in all of the museum's restaurants.

Headed by award-winning chef Tony Mantuano, Terzo Piano features authentic Italian ingredients and local, organic, and sustainable foods in simple but elegant dishes. Although not required, reservations are strongly recommended: (312) 443-8650 or www.opentable.com. Terzo Piano also takes reservations for groups of 15–30 during regular dining hours. For a more private group experience, Terzo Piano has a semi-private event space available for groups of 25–100. After a major renovation, the Museum Café is once again open. The space has been transformed into a vibrant and modern environment that not only offers a new layout, decor, and seating but also a refreshing culinary experience where the food—healthier and more varied—takes center stage. Enjoy globally-influenced cuisine including tacos, stir fries, sandwiches, salads, soups, charcuterie, desserts, smoothies, espresso, and other beverages.

Group dining vouchers are available for purchase. Please call the café manager at (312) 443-3747 to order your vouchers. School groups can register for lunch from the Kids' Café.

Thanks to the delicious creations of the chefs at Terzo Piano, Caffè Moderno offers scrumptious soups, snacks, and dessert in a convenient quick-order setting overlooking Griffin Court. Coffee, tea, wine, and other beverages are also available.

Museum Café

Enjoy summer's warm weather and lengthening days by dining alfresco as the Museum Café extends seating into the lovely McKinlock Court. The Museum Café offers a locally sourced menu with a global influence along with a selection of wines, microbrews, and full bar.

Piano Terra
