Re:Imagine Official Contest Rules

  1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.
  2. To Enter: Submit your idea to reinvent the museum experience via the official competition website submission form at reimagine-artic.tumblr.com beginning on November 23, 2013. The Art Institute of Chicago reserves the right to disregard any entry that is late, misdirected, illegible, incomplete, or incorrect. All entries must include at least 1 (but not more than 6) images representing each entry, a title, a short description (up to 100 words), a written response to the guiding question (up to 250 words), additional complete instructions and/or links for accessing additional materials related to the entry, and complete contact information for each entrant or team member. All entries must be submitted by 11:59 PM March 3, 2014.
  3. Prize Details: The top three winning entries selected by the Art Institute of Chicago will each receive $750 in gift cards. The top five popular vote winning entries will each receive $200 in gift cards. No entry selected as a top three winning entry will be eligible for a popular vote prize. Prizes for team entries will be divided evenly between all team members identified on the submission form. All taxes on the prize are the sole responsibility of the winner. The Art Institute of Chicago reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value if featured prizes become unavailable.
  4. Awarding of Prize(s): The Art Institute of Chicago is the sponsor and administrator of this contest. Entries will be judged by a panel made up of Art Institute of Chicago Teen Council Members, Art Institute of Chicago staff, and other individuals designated by the Art Institute of Chicago. Entries will be judged based on creativity, interactivity, presentation, clarity of ideas, and alignment with the stated competition challenge. Public voting for popular vote prizes shall be conducted on the Facebook page of Art Institute Teens from March 1-14. The awarding of the prizes will be conducted by a representative of the Art Institute of Chicago whose decisions on all matters relating to this drawing are final. Winners will be notified individually by email to the address(es) provided on the submission form. Winners will have 2 business days to respond to accept the prize. If a winner does not accept prize within such timeframe, the prize will be forfeited. The winner(s) agree that the Art Institute of Chicago may use his or her name and likeness for advertising and publicity purposes without additional compensation (except where prohibited). Acceptance of the prize indicates acceptance of all the terms and contingencies described herein and inherent to the prize offered. All prizes will be awarded and publicly announced by April 26 via the competition website and awards ceremony.
  5. Odds: Odds of winning depend on the number of qualified entries received.
  6. Eligibility: Contest open to U.S. residents ages 13 to 19 on the date of entry submission. For team entries, all team members must be individually eligible to participate. Employees, agents, and interns of the Art Institute of Chicago, its advertising and promotion agencies, and the immediate family and household members of each are not eligible. All federal, state, and local laws apply. Void where prohibited. By participating in this contest, entrants waive all right to, and hold harmless, the Art Institute of Chicago and its advertising and promotions agencies from any loss, damage, or expense arising out of or in connection with participation in this drawing or the acceptance, use, or misuse of any prize.
  7. License and Release: By entering the Contest, entrant(s) grants the Art Institute of Chicago the non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, and irrevocable rights to use, reproduce, copy, publish, display, distribute, perform, translate, adapt, modify, make, and otherwise exploit the entry, including all additional and supporting materials identified in the entry, in any and all markets and media now or hereafter known worldwide in perpetuity. Entrants warrant that they have the sole and exclusive right to grant such rights to the Art Institute of Chicago and that the Art Institute of Chicago’s exercise of these rights will not infringe on any rights of third parties. Any Entries containing material that is violent, pornographic, obscene, illegal, inappropriate, or racially or morally offensive or that does not comply with these Official Rules or meet the Art Institute of Chicago’s standards for any reason, as determined by Sponsor in their sole discretion, may be rejected as ineligible for consideration. Entries must comply with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations. Sponsor shall have no obligation to copy, publish, display, or otherwise exploit the entries.

Selfie Spree Official Contest Rules

  1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.
  2. To Enter: Tweet a picture of yourself, a “Selfie Photo”, in your favorite 21st-century fashion ensemble to 19th-century fashion blogger, Jean-Paul Brunier, @jeanpaul19. The Art Institute of Chicago reserves the right to disregard any entry that is late, misdirected, illegible, incomplete, or incorrect. All images must be posted to Twitter between 12am Monday, August 19 and 11:59 p.m. Sunday, August 25 2013. Eligibility is limited to entrants currently residing in the Chicago metropolitan area as defined by the Metropolitan Statistical Area.
  3. Prize Details: The prize is a $1,000 shopping spree at Macy’s State Street. No prize substitution or cash redemption is allowed by the winner. All taxes on the prize are the sole responsibility of the winner. The Art Institute of Chicago reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if featured prize becomes unavailable.
  4. Awarding of Prize(s): The Art Institute of Chicago is the sponsor and administrator of this contest. The winner will be selected by a representative of the Art Institute of Chicago whose decisions on all matters relating to this contest are final. The winner will be notified individually by Twitter private message. The winner will have 2 days to respond to the Art Institute via Twitter message to accept the prize. If a winner does not accept prize within such timeframe, the prize will be forfeited. Employees of the Art Institute of Chicago, its advertising and promotion agencies, and the immediate family and household members of each are not eligible. All federal, state, and local laws apply. Void where prohibited. By participating in this contest, entrants waive all right to, and hold harmless, the Art Institute of Chicago and its advertising and promotions agencies from any loss, damage, or expense arising out of or in connection with participation in this drawing or the acceptance, use, or misuse of any prize.
  7. License and Release: By entering the Contest, entrant grants the Art Institute of Chicago the non-exclusive, royalty-free, and irrevocable right to use, reproduce, copy, publish, display, distribute, perform, translate, adapt, modify, and otherwise exploit the Selfie Photo and to incorporate the Selfie Photo in other works in any and all markets and media now or hereafter known worldwide in perpetuity. In the event that Entrant is awarded the prize, Entrant further grants the Art Institute of Chicago and its designees the royalty-free, irrevocable rights to capture, record, reproduce, edit, and otherwise use Entrant's name, image, and/or likeness, as well as the Entrant’s Selfie Photo, in connection with the shopping spree, for any purpose whatsoever, in any and all markets and media. Entrant waives any applicable rights of publicity or privacy in connection with the exercise of any of these rights. Entrants warrant that they have the sole and exclusive right to grant such rights to The Art Institute of Chicago and that the Art Institute of Chicago’s reproduction, publishing, displaying, and/or other use of their photo will not infringe on any rights of third parties. Any Entries with a photo containing material that is violent, pornographic, obscene, illegal, inappropriate, or racially or morally offensive, depicting third party trademarks or logos or that does not comply with these Official Rules or meet The Art Institute of Chicago’s standards for any reason, as determined by The Art Institute of Chicago in their sole discretion, may be rejected as ineligible for consideration. Jean-Paul Brunier at Lollapalooza Official Contest Rules

To Enter: If you spot 19th-century fashion blogger, Jean-Paul Brunier, within the festival grounds during Lollapalooza, take a picture of him and tweet the image to Jean-Paul’s Twitter handle, @jeanpaul19. The Art Institute of Chicago reserves the right to disregard any entry that is late, misdirected, illegible, incomplete, or incorrect. All images must be posted to Twitter before 11:59 Sunday August 4, 2013.
  3. Prize Details: The prize is 2 tickets to the Art Institute of Chicago, including admission to special exhibition Impressionism, Fashion & Modernity (if still showing). No prize substitution or cash redemption is allowed by the winner. All taxes on the prize are the sole responsibility of the winner. The Art Institute of Chicago reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if featured prize becomes unavailable.
