Letters between Hugh Edwards and FBH regarding the progress of the Mary Reynolds Collection Catalogue, Surrealism and its Affinities; includes discussion regarding the design and format of the book and the illustrations to be used inside; statements for Edwards' time spent working on the catalogue; concern is expressed over how MR's books in the collection will be bound or protected. Includes a list of the books in the collection and the type of protective case or folders that were ordered. Typed version of MD's introduction and ALS from MD to Schniewind. TLS anecdote by Djuna Barnes, used in catalogue.

3.2  Thank you letters
Correspondence includes thank-you letters from individuals who received a copy of Surrealism and its Affinities. Janet Flanner (New Yorker Magazine), Harold Joachim (Minneapolis Institute of Arts), Nancy Cunard, Jean Helion and Katherine Kuh (AIC) are among those who expressed their gratitude and enthusiasm for the book. (Calder and Cocteau thank yous with their general correspondence, in next folder.)
