Researching a Work from the Museum Collection

Starting Points

1. Search the Museum’s collection database, which often includes a publication and exhibition history in addition to images and other information about the particular work.

• Catalogs of museum or department collections
• Exhibition catalogs

• Oxford Art Online
• Museum Studies (1966 - 5 years ago)
