The Institutional Archives of the Art Institute of Chicago contain the official papers and records of the Art Institute museum and school since its founding. The Institutional Archives have special access policies. An appointment is required to view materials.
Contact the Archives staff through the Ryerson and Burnham Libraries' Reference Desk, which is open Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm, and Thursdays from 10:30 am until 8:00 pm.
