Celebrate the Close of the School Year
Our annual Curriculum Fair gives pre-K-12 educators the opportunity to gather and share lesson plans, classroom activities, and curricula inspired by artworks in the museum. Select educators present lesson plans and samples of student work, and everyone is invited to enjoy refreshments and exchange ideas in an informal setting.
This year’s theme, Everyday Wonderment, puts the everyday at the center of making, viewing, and learning about art. Throughout the ages, artists have found inspiration in a wide range of commonplace objects and situations and manifested their understanding of the quotidian in works that range from still lives to performance art. Come and discover how Chicago area educators engage with the theme of the everyday to explore rich interdisciplinary connections between their curriculum and works of art from the Art Institute’s collection.
