Concert: Latino Music Festival 2013
As part of the 8th Annual Latino Music Festival, this concert features the Chicago-based Kaia String Quartet.
The quartet has been featured in the Latin Music Festival since 2010 and has been named the festival's Ensemble in Residence for the second consecutive year. In addition to collaborating with prominent South American composers, Kaia has also recorded for Grammy-nominee, Victor Pichardo with his ensemble, Sones de Mexico on their latest album, Viva La Revolucion.
Currently, Kaia is completing a two-year residency at Northern Illinois University under the tutelage of the Avalon String Quartet.
