Opening Celebration: Violence and Virtue—Artemisia Gentileschi’s Judith Slaying Holofernes
The Old Masters Society celebrates this eagerly anticipated loan from Florence with an exclusive first look. A lecture by Eve Straussman-Pflanzer will be followed by cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. Free Thursday Evenings
Admission to the Art Institute of Chicago is free to Illinois residents every Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.
European Modern Art
The galleries of European modern art are currently closed for renovation and will reopen in April 2014.
