Daniel Schulman is the Associate Director of Valerie Carberry Gallery and a former Associate Curator of Twentieth-Century Painting and Sculpture (now Contemporary Art) at the Art Institute of Chicago.

Cherise Smith is an Assistant Professor of Art and Art History at the University of Texas at Austin. She was a MacArthur Fellow in the Department of African and Amerindian Art at the Art Institute of Chicago from 1994-1996.

Andrew Walker is now the Assistant Director of Curatorial Affairs and Curator of American Art at the Saint Louis Art Museum. He composed his entries while working for the Art Institute's Department of American Arts as Assistant Curator.
