To foster a nurturing experience, we encourage a family member or care partner to accompany each participant with dementia. If that is not possible, a minimum of 1 chaperone per 4 participants is expected. Maximum group size of 16 people (including care partners and chaperones). Groups larger than 16 people must be divided into multiple visits. Your group must provide as many personnel as necessary to assist with limited mobility concerns.
Art in the Moment includes a discussion in the Art Institute's galleries and an art-making activity in a studio setting. The discussion in the galleries lasts approximately 60 minutes. The studio activity lasts approximately 90 minutes.
Art in the Moment is a free program supported by the Cigna Foundation. The gallery discussion, studio activity, and admission to the museum during the program is included for participants and care partners. Transportation to and from the Art Institute is not included.
