In 1953, Winnetka Community Associates was established as the first suburban associates group of the Art Institute of Chicago. There was an immediate response to this outreach by the Art Institute, and currently the group boasts over 250 members. Winnetka Community Associates continues to foster a connection between the suburbs of Winnetka, Wilmette, Kenilworth, Northfield, and Glenview with the Art Institute of Chicago.
Art lectures illustrated with images, art study seminars, and trips to significant cultural institutions combine to create an outstanding program year. All programs are coordinated through the Art Institute.
