The Art Institute of Chicago 111 South Michigan Avenue Chicago, Illinois
This year’s theme, “My Favorite Things,” celebrated some of the most beloved pieces in the Art Institute’s collection. Throughout the treasure hunt, children acquired stamps and stickers in their activity booklets to mark their progress.
At the end of their exploration, families proceeded to the state-of-the-art Ryan Education Center, located in the Art Institute’s Modern Wing, where children created shields inspired by the Harding Collection of Arms and Armor. The afternoon concluded with a holiday-themed tea party featuring performances by the New Trier High School Swing Choir, the Old Town School of Folk Music, and Goodman Theatre, with a special appearance by Artie the Lion.
