Join Sylvain Bellenger, curator in a conversation about this exquisite Nativity scene, a new and exciting acquisition for the museum. Discussed will be the origins of this sculptural tradition and its development into a dynamic art form that recorded eighteenth-century Neapolitan life.  This In Conversation program is part of a new series for teachers that takes place in the museum’s galleries and features guest artists, curators, and educators discussing in depth select works of art from the Art Institute’s collection.
