Sketch Class: Black & White/Color—A Dialogue

April 5, 2014
Morton Auditorium
$215 per member

Eight Saturdays: April 5–May 31, 2014 (No class April 19)

The language of black and white is different from that of color, though some artists, including Matisse, have said that color can be conveyed in black and white. In this class, students will let the two languages speak to each other by drawing each of their works once in black and white, then in color. Presentations on different approaches to the use of black and white or color will help students gain a deeper understanding of these two fundamental modes of expression. All materials are provided.

This program has reached capacity.
