The world premiere of a new theatrical work by Chicago performance collective Manual Cinema, commissioned by the Art Institute of Chicago in response to the exhibition Moholy-Nagy: Future Present. Combining handmade shadow puppetry, vintage overhead projectors, cinematic techniques, and a live music ensemble, The Electric Stage creates a truly immersive experience to explore Moholy-Nagy’s highly inventive approach to image making as “vision-in-motion.”

Manual Cinema leads an interactive drop-in workshop for all ages from 11:00- 2:00 on December 3 in the Chicago Stock Exchange Trading Room.
