Member Workshop: Visual Writing

August 9, 2014
Ryan Education Center, Studio A
$25 for members

Have you ever wanted to write a story but found it hard to get started? When you look at the blank white page do your ideas evaporate? Marianne Malone, author of The Sixty-Eight Rooms series, set in the Thorne Miniature Rooms, will provide young writers with tips on how to get past these writing roadblocks by becoming a “visual writer.” Students will learn how to use visual prompts to help unlock the story, and how to see the narrative unfold in your mind's eye.

Each ticket is for one child ages 9-12 years. One adult may accompany a participating child, or drop off his or her child for the duration of the workshop.

Tickets include writing materials and a snack. Make your reservations today!

There will be a free public book signing with Marianne Malone from 2:00 to 4:00 in the Ryan Education Center in classrooms 1 and 2.

Registration is required for this program, and space is limited. All tickets are nonrefundable.
