Aimee Froom, curator of arts of the Islamic world at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, discusses the museum's installation Arts of Islamic Lands: Selections from the al-Sabah Collection, Kuwait, and the reinstallation of the museum's growing permanent collection of Islamic art, two collections on view at the MFAH which offer an extraordinary opportunity to discover new connections, to observe the dynamic diversity of the objects, and to reveal multilayered conversations of cross-cultural encounters.
