Lecture: Medium and Memory in Martial’s “Ancien Paris”

September 5, 2014
Fullerton Hall
Free with museum admission

Ashley E. Dunn, Ph.D. candidate at Northwestern University, will present her paper, "Medium and Memory in A. P. Martial's Ancien Paris," which was selected for public presentation among papers from the Art Institute's 49th Graduate Student Seminar in April, 2014.

This engaging discussion of etching's role in the documentation of vanishing Paris complements our understanding of the milieu in which Monet, Caillebotte, and other Impressionists worked.
