Matilda McQuaid, deputy curatorial director and head of the Textiles Department at the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum, discusses contemporary fiber art. Her lecture explores how textiles have become increasingly integrated into our environment, using both traditional techniques and new technologies, forever changing our understanding of what a textile is and can be.
Textile Society members are invited to attend a tea reception following the lecture in Terzo Piano.
