September 25, 2018
Meet in Gallery 100
Free with museum admission

The impulse to put our marks on the wall is as old as art itself. Join museum educator Paulina Lopez for an in-depth look at works that demand to be seen without a frame, ranging from Greek-style friezes to Mesoamerican murals, as well documented street art from walls throughout Chicago.

Persons with disabilities who would like to request an accessibility accommodation for an Art Institute program are encouraged to send an e-mail to as far in advance as possible.

Please see the museum’s Accessibility page for more information.
