Gallery Talk: Visible Histories, Part Two—The Formation of the Illinois Institute of Technology

April 14, 2016
Meet in G100
Free with museum admission, registration required.

The Art Institute of Chicago in partnership with the Chicago Public Library presents Visible Histories, a new series that connects art with topics from CPL’s One Book, One Chicago selection, The Third Coast, by Thomas Dyja. Each portion of this three-part series consists of two program parts: an engaging dialogue about local history at a CPL branch followed by a companion gallery experience that explores related artworks.

Follow Alison Fisher, Harold and Margot Schiff Associate Curator in the Department of Architecture and Design on a related gallery talk that reveals related architectural fragments and expounds on themes within the initial discussion. This gallery talk is related to Conversation: Visible Histories, Part 2—The Formation of the Illinois Institute of Technology.
