A trompe l’oeil painting is both a trick and treat for the eye: the objects on the canvas appear so real that it seems as though you could touch them, but they are cleverly arranged illusions. Join Woman’s Board Fellow Alice Boone in exploring the tricky tradition of these paintings in American art.
