Space is the emptiness between worlds, the vast oceans of eternity, the final frontier. Artists have long depicted human desire to understand that great unknown: to grasp and measure it with tools, to inspire wonder, to project fears about humanity’s place in the universe. The space exploration gallery talk with Woman’s Board Fellow Alice Boone cannot physically transcend the boundaries of the museum, yet we will take flight with artists in imagining space and beyond.

To request an accessibility accommodation for an Art Institute program, please call (312) 443-3680 or send an e-mail to access@artic.edu as far in advance as possible.
