Join Woman’s Board Fellow Alice Boone in examining the glass fantasies from the Mount Washington Glass Company. The glassworks was located in New Bedford, Massachusetts, the center of the 19th-century American whaling industry rendered so vividly in Herman Melville’s Moby-Dick. What might we learn about obsession and fantasy by looking at the industrial history of whaling and glass-blowing together?
