Considered one of the first psychological thrillers, Fritz Lang’s M (1931) depicts widespread paranoia after a number of children are murdered in Berlin. A key scene in the film inspired the shop window installation in focus: Lucy McKenzie, on view in Abbott Galleries (182–184) in the Modern Wing starting on October 23.
