Express Talk: Love Letters to the Square

February 14, 2018
Meet in Griffin Court
Free with museum admission

Josef Albers’s Homage to the Square series explores how viewers respond to groupings of colors, by superimposing squares of different shades on top of one another. Albers designed the Homage as a pedagogical tool for color theory, writing in Interaction of Color: “Usually a special effort in using disliked colors ends with our falling in love with them.” Which colors will you fall in love with today?
