Exhibition Snapshot: The New Contemporary

March 31, 2016
Ryan Learning Center, Studio C
$20 / 2 CPDUs

This past December, we reopened our galleries of contemporary art, unveiling the largest gift in the Art Institute’s 136-year history: 44 iconic works by artists such as Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, and Jasper Johns. Generously donated by Chicago collectors Stefan Edlis and Gael Neeson, these new additions transform the museum’s presentation of contemporary art. This workshop will feature an interactive tour of the Edlis and Neeson collection conducted by museum educators. Participants will also have an opportunity to brainstorm ideas for incorporating this content into different areas of the curriculum.

Registration is required for this program. Register today.

Exhibition Snapshot is a brand new program format that features guest artists, curators, and educators discussing special exhibitions.
