This four-week lecture series, presented by the Asian Art Council in conjunction with Sustaining Fellows, considers the key themes that both bind the various manifestations of Islamic visual culture and celebrate the broad diversity of expression found in different Islamic lands and times. A lunch will follow each lecture.

The May 7 lecture, "Islamic Architecture: A Rejuvenated Tradition," is presented by Nasser Rabbat, Aga Khan Professor of Islamic Architecture, Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
