This four-week lecture series, presented by the Asian Art Council in conjunction with Sustaining Fellows, considers the key themes that both bind the various manifestations of Islamic visual culture and celebrate the broad diversity of expression found in different Islamic lands and times. A lunch will follow each lecture.

The April 30 lecture, "Early Islamic Art and the Late Antique World," is presented by Elena N. Boeck, associate professor, Department of History of Art and Architecture, DePaul University.
