Echo Effect Event: The Chicago Symphony Orchestra musicians explore the role of originals in this five-part music and art concert series. Each concert includes a brief art commentary and gallery walk.

Roy Lichtenstein mined his day's comic strips to create Pop art canvases that still resonate today. Jean Françaix and James Matheson are both composers who enjoy putting their spin on existing forms—the Frenchman's Dixtour emerges from the world of Jazz, while in Colonnade the Brooklyn-based Matheson is inspired by the clean lines of the New York State Education Building.
