The Gathering: Call and Response—Activating Public Spaces

The Gathering invites Chicago’s civic leaders to engage in forum-style discussions about the impact of art on public life. The series begins with an investigation of Making Place: The Architecture of David Adjaye, and explores how creative place makers use public space to engage 21st-century citizens. Panelists include:

Jane Beachy- Program Manager for the Arts, Illinois Humanities, and Founder and Artistic Director, Salonathon/Jane Beachy Presents

Erika Dudley- Senior Program Manager for the Odyssey Project, Progressive Conversations, and Educating Community at the Civic Knowledge Project, University of Chicago

L. Anton Seals Jr.- Neighborhood and Community Partnerships Coordinator at the Irwin W. Steans Center, DePaul University, and Founder, Seals360 Group
