March 25, 2015
Fullerton Hall
$12 members, per lecture

As part of an effort to shape the future of scholarly publishing, in 2009 the Getty Foundation invited the Art Institute of Chicago and eight other museums to participate in a venture called the Online Scholarly Catalogue Initiative (OSCI). Learn about this groundbreaking project through conversations between curators and conservators as they discuss the making of these catalogues as well as the resulting discoveries.

In this lecture, the first of the series, hear from curator Gloria Groom and conservator Kelly Keegan as they discuss the catalogue devoted to the museum’s holdings of paintings and drawings by Pierre-Auguste Renoir.
