April 29, 2015
Fullerton Hall
$12 per lecture, members only

As part of an effort to shape the future of scholarly publishing, the Getty Foundation in 2009 invited the Art Institute of Chicago and eight other museums to participate in a venture called the Online Scholarly Catalogue Initiative (OSCI). Learn about this groundbreaking project from conversations between curators and conservators as they share the making of these catalogues as well as the resulting discoveries.

In this lecture, hear from curator Gloria Groom and conservator Kim Muir as they discuss the catalogue devoted to the museum’s holdings of paintings and drawings by Claude Monet.
