Admission actions

The Art Institute of Chicago and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra collaborate to present a rare after-hours event surrounded by American sculpture, paintings and Chicago architecture in celebration of MusicNOW’s 20th Season.

Enjoy exclusive access to the museum as you experience an evening of contemporary music curated for three galleries devoted to American art and design. The Art Institute’s Ann S. and Samuel M. Mencoff Assistant Curator of American Decorative Arts Elizabeth McGoey and Director of Adult Learning Nenette Luarca-Shoaf will be joined by CSO Mead Composers-in-Residence Samuel Adams and Elizabeth Ogonek to introduce the works of art and music. The evening will culminate in the historic Stock Exchange Trading Room and include a complimentary champagne refreshment.

In this unique site-specific performance setting, seating has been intentionally configured to include views of both the artwork and musicians. Please note that sight lines of the performers may therefore be partially obstructed.
