Conversations: The Modern Series

April 16, 2015
Meet in Gallery 182
Free with museum admission

Almost a century after World War I, "the war to end wars," journalist Jackie Spinner covered two of America's longest wars, in Iraq and Afghanistan, for the Washington Post.  She joins Museum Education's Fawn Ring to talk about the timeless transformative experience of reporting from places where danger and fear accompany journalists everywhere.

These 30-minute in-gallery conversations explore the parallels between the radically changing society of a century ago reflected in the artwork in Shatter Rupture Break and the disruptions of our digital age.

Registration is not required for this program.
