I Turchini, the renowned early music ensemble from Naples, celebrates the final week of the 18th-century Neapolitan crèche display

I Turchini was founded in 1987 by Antonio Florio and is composed of instrumentalists and singers specializing in 17th- and 18th-century Neapolitan music who are dedicated to the recovery of Neapolitan musical heritage. The ensemble has recorded for Radio France, BBC London, and Belgian, Spanish, German and Austrian radio. They record actively, having produced seven internationally recognized Neapolitan Baroque albums. Among their many awards and recognitions are the “Vivaldi” award of the Cini Foundation in Venice, the “Abbiati” award given by the National Music Critics Association, and the “Christmas Choice” award from the BBC music review for their album L’Adoratione de ‘Maggi
