About the Artist

Violinist/violist Miranda Cuckson enjoys performing both as a soloist and chamber musician and is a favorite of audiences for her playing of a range of repertoire, from well- and lesser-known older works to the most current creations. Having grown up immersed in the classical repertoire, she has in recent years become one of the most active performers of contemporary music. She has performed at the Berlin Philharmonie, Carnegie Hall, the Library of Congress, Teatro Colón, the Miller Theatre, 92nd Street Y, the Guggenheim Museum, Bargemusic, the Museum of Modern Art, the National Gallery of Art, BAM, Strathmore, Monday Evening Concerts in Los Angeles, the Institute for Advanced Study at Princeton University, the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra’s Liquid Music series, and the Marlboro, Bard, Lincoln Center, Roaring Hooves, Bridgehampton, Portland, Music Mountain, and Bodensee festivals.
