Artist Talk: Diana Thater

October 8, 2014
Price Auditorium
$15 SCA members, $20 general public

Widely recognized as a pioneer of video art as installation, Los Angeles–based artist Diana Thater is best known for creating immersive environments with videos of animals such as bees, horses, and wolves. Complex spatial thinking is key to Thater’s projects; she understands video installation as a dialogue between sculpture and architecture. Projected on a large scale onto entire ceilings, walls, and floors, her work thoroughly transforms the space it inhabits.
