Art in the Moment invites individuals with dementia and their care partners or family members to the Art Institute for creative discussions in the museum galleries and an art-making project in a studio setting. Participants have the opportunity to explore ideas about art and artists during a visit to the museum galleries, experience intellectual stimulation through creative expression, participating in meaningful exchanges in a supportive environment and making connections in a dynamic group setting using personal experiences. This session will focus on Wonder Years: images of children, family, and childhood remembrances.
To register, please contact Theresa Dewey, Alzheimer’s Association, Greater Illinois Chapter, at tdewey@alz.org or (847) 779-6963.
