Three-Day Workshop: August 6–8
What goes on in students’ minds when they make art? How is language activated through material manipulation, design, and aesthetic engagement? Learn by doing in this three-day workshop and discover how art making has the power to deepen language learning for English and World Language Learners by engaging different modalities. Explore a variety of media to reflect on making and language learning. No special skills are required, only an open mind and a willingness to experiment.
This program will focus on the exhibition Never a Lovely So Real: Photography and Film in Chicago, 1950–1980.
