The Art Institute is an active lending institution that is additionally always trying to improve the experience of visitors. Gallery Closures
Ancient and Byzantine Art
The galleries of ancient and Byzantine art will reopen on November 11, 2012, as the Mary and Michael Jaharis Galleries of Greek, Roman, and Byzantine Art.
Paperweight Collection
Our paperweight gallery is currently being renovated in order to increase the number of works on view from 341 to more than 800. It will reopen in September 2012 as the expanded gallery for the Arthur Rubloff Collection of Paperweights.
