Barrington Community Associates was founded in 1961 with 42 members, becoming the 6th Community Associates group of the Art Institute of Chicago. A wide variety of local programs, as well as illustrated lectures at the museum and trips to other museums and cultural institutions, provide enriching art appreciation for members. All programs are coordinated through the Art Institute.

Members reside in the following zip codes: 60010, 60067, 60014, 60005, 60047, 60074, 60004, 60013, 60056, and 60084.
