Art Explorer is an educational Web site with the goal of increasing visitors' appreciation and understanding of art. We will not share your email address or information with any other organization and will only use your email address for communications regarding Art Explorer.

The Art Institute complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act, which states that no Web site operator can require, as a condition of participation in an activity, that a child under the age of 13 disclose more information than is reasonably necessary for participation in that activity. For this reason, on our new registration page, we ask for parent's information if the child is 13 years or younger. We also make the school, city and state information an optional element of registration. In the name section of our registration field, we removed all error verification, allowing users to type any word into this field.

Art Explorer does utilize cookies if you select the "remember me" option on this computer on the Login screen. Cookies are small files that are stored in a visitor's browser. The cookie stores your user name and an encoded version of your password on a specific computer. This allows the system to automatically login the remembered user name and password. We will not use cookies to obtain any information about your use or to identify any user information if you opt to use this feature on Art Explorer.
