LaunchPad in the Mary and Michael Jaharis Galleries of Greek, Roman, and Byzantine Art

LaunchPad is an engaging multimedia program of digital interpretive materials, which is currently accessible in the Mary and Michael Jaharis Galleries of Greek, Roman, and Byzantine Art. Sixteen interactive kiosks equipped with the program are installed throughout the galleries and provide a wealth of information about selected objects on display through animation, images, text, and video. The information ranges from introductory facts about the artworks to in-depth information about their function, form, subject matter, historical context, technique of manufacture, and relationship to particular people, places, and objects.

LaunchPad was produced with the generous support of a Long Range Fund grant provided by the Community Associates of the Art Institute of Chicago. Please visit the Jaharis Galleries and explore the art of the ancient and Byzantine worlds in this new and modern way!
