How many people can I bring to the museum with me?
The number of guests you can bring with you both to the museum and to all special exhibitions varies by membership level; see the list below for details. You are always welcome to purchase additional tickets for extra guests.

  • Individual: 1
  • Family: 1, plus all children 18 and under 
  • Museum Associate: 5
  • Alliance: 5
  • Alliance Council: 5
  • Alliance Roundtable: 7
  • Student: 1
  • National Associate: 1

I don't have my new member card yet. Can I still visit the museum?
Absolutely! Simply stop at the information desk in the Michigan Avenue lobby and ask for a day pass.

Do you have suggestions for easy wheelchair and stroller access?
Yes, we do. Please call (312) 443-3507 for details.

What audio guides are available?
We have three audio tours that are always available: The Director's Tour, the Lions Trail Family Tour (also available in Spanish), and the Gallery Overview Tour. We also occasionally have exhibition-specific audio tours. And don't forget that members always receive 15% off all audio tours!

When are member orientations?
Member-only orientation tours are held the second Saturday of every month at 11:00. They begin in the Member Lounge.

Is my membership tax deductible?
For membership levels up to and including Alliance Roundtable, under current Internal Revenue Service Guidelines, the full amount of your contribution is tax deductible to the extent allowed by current law. For Sustaining Fellows membership levels and above, please call (312) 499-4109 for tax deductibility information.
